I have had my car for a year now and no reverse lights, I have changed the bulbs and checked the fuse and all are ok. I am at a loss and need to get the problem fixed asap. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Check the switch. if the switch is good, just trace the power through the circuit until you lose it.

Mightymoose22 has mighty good advice. I'm going to tell you where the switches are.

Manual transmission---The switch is at the bottom of the transmission on the front side. It has two wires going into it and an electrical connector on the end of it. The switch is called the backup/upshift switch. The switch controls the yellow arrrow upshift indicator on the gauge cluster. If your upshift indicator is working the switch for the backup lights is all right. Back trace the wires on the backup/upshift switch to the electrical connector. Pull it apart, spray some WD40 in there. Even though the switch is OK the connection may have some corrosion on it. Don't try to take this switch out unless you have drained the transmission first. The fuse is the 10 amp meter fuse. The fuse box is under the dash.

Automatic transmission-- The switch is called the transmission range sensor. It is at the end of the cable of the shifter on the top of the transmission. It controls which drive gear you are in and in reverse flows current to the backup lights. There is a connector to it that you can pull apart and spray with some WD40. The fuse is the 15 amp engine fuse. The fuse box is under the dash.

Test with volt meter or 12 volt test light. Stick a pin through the insulation of the wire you are testing.

Manual transmission---The wire from the fuse box to the switch is black with yellow striping. It should be hot with the key in run or start. The wire from the switch to the backup lights is red with green striping. It should be hot with the key in start or run and the shifter in reverse.

Automatic transmission---The wire from the fuse box to the switch is black with white striping. It should be hot with the key in run or start. The wire from the switch to the backup lights is red with green striping. It should be hot with the key in start or run and the shifter in reverse.
