Mostly Illustrator lately though. Dboy23 10-16-2007, 09:56 PM A lot of the tutorials are for Adobe Photoshop, personally I use CS2, CS3 and the original CS aren't how I like them, CS2 is the best for me. drunken monkey 10-16-2007, 10:34 PM I've always found (my) CS2 to be a bit buggy but for what I do and use it for, CS3 is a godsend. I model in Autocad, Vectorworks, 3D studio and occasionally Maya and Rhino. If forced to, I can grudgingly draw and model for you in Microstation. prortiz80 10-18-2007, 06:51 PM I've always found (my) CS2 to be a bit buggy but for what I do and use it for, CS3 is a godsend. Where can i buy some of these programs for my new imac i plan to use it to better model my scale models and and to make 3D models of cars and trucks:popcorn: nicecar 10-21-2007, 05:57 AM For car modifications, i use Photoshop 7.0. But ive found that i can do pretty much the same on elements 2.0, which is a really early version. For 3d work, which i havent yet mastered, i use Rhino, and for other things like drawing cars i use alias sketchbook pro. littleduck111 10-21-2007, 08:03 PM CS2 is the best for me... prortiz80 12-06-2007, 09:35 PM thank you eveyone!!! for the help BJ3113 12-07-2007, 03:02 PM CS2 for me as well CptTune 12-08-2007, 09:49 AM photoshop cs3 is best for me sunsetclassics 05-02-2008, 03:00 PM Where can i buy some of these programs for my new imac i plan to use it to better model my scale models and and to make 3D models of cars and trucks:popcorn: I guess now that I look at the date this is a fairly old post but if you haven't picked up the software you need my first bet is ebay, you can probably get a better price there than going to an Apple store. Also I was wondering if anyone has used Art of Illusion? I just came across it (http://www.artofillusion.org/index) It is open source 3D rendering software much nicer on the pocket book that way. Looking through their art gallery it looks like people are making some great stuff with it. -Jacko- 05-02-2008, 06:48 PM Woah don't resurrect this thread man. Just post a new one chuckinsocal 05-29-2008, 04:14 PM The Gimp is free and I've heard it's just as powerful as PhotoShop but has a steep learning curve. PaintShop Pro is comparable to PhotoShop and I think it's under $200.00. Some one already mentioned PhotoShop Elements. I think there are some others and if I think of them I'll post here. BJ3113 06-02-2008, 09:28 AM I have to edit my own post, I am now using CS3 Extended Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com! Registration is absolutely free. |
