Need some info please. The thing my transmission is doing: when i put it in drive [with or without ] the o/d , the transmission is slipping and hesitant to go. When i accelerate more it starts to go and is slow about going at normal speed. It doesn't do it in any other gear. It is an automatic transmission. It shifts into 2nd and 3rd just like it is suppose to with out any problem. Hope someone can tell me what the problem is. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks :banghead:

I guess you already checked the obvious?: Check fluid level. If the fluid smells cooked, drop th epan and get a filter/gasket and fill it with atf+4.

Good luck!

After checking the fluid (and dropping the pan & replacing fluid if necessary as Hanibal suggested), try some Lucas transmission additive. That's a good start before going further. How many miles do you have on your Jeep? I had my '94 transmission rebuilt at around 160,000.
