Hi,

I have a 93 Grand Cherokee and every time I unlock the driver door with the key to get in, the alarm goes off. I have to go back to the liftgate and unlock it to shut off the alarm. I have noticed that the liftgate handle is slightly loose lately. Would that be a problem? Also, it seems like the power locks do not unlock the gate all the way, is that an issue? Lastly, I have keyless entry but no remote, would it be easier to just buy a new remote and use that?

It's a common problem on older Grands. I would get a remote for it. I think that year they were infrared frequency.
