Ran the truck today. Felt like it was having trouble accelerating from a stop. Pulled code P0753 with the scan tool. Any insight? I'll search now. Thanks for any information! P0753 = shifter solenoid circuit A electrical

As an aside, I also had 2 O2 sensor codes. No activity from the front 2 sensors which I changed out a little while ago. I found the bank 1 harness resting on the exhaust because the O2 sensor bracket to which the bank 2 harness is connected is hanging free. I ziptied it up and cleared the codes and they didn't come back.

My answer is probably here. Initial post describes my symptoms exactly. Looks like the front pan needs to come down.

Here is some discussion from a Tacoma site. Seems like it would apply here:

I wonder if I created the code by pulling on the tranny wiring harness...

Yup. Pretty sure I did it. The daughter says it didn't drive anything like that until I got ahold of it. Sorry for wasting your click!

Looks like the solenoid A is in the main case. These diagrams might help someone in the future.

Thanks a lot for posting that. Little more detailed than my Haynes I'll bet.

Problem fixed. I removed the ziptie and the code disappeared and first gear works properly. Now I know what it feels like when the torque converter fails to lock up in first. I guess that's the job of the Circuit A solenoid.

Im getting the same error message, I was going to replace the solenoid but couldnt get the pin out. But my question is , what wires you checked or where was the harness that was pulled? I recently had mine aligned and the day afther the problem started... Or anything else I can check?
Or if i do have to go back to the solenoid does any one have the resistance, ohms, or anything else i can check while its two wires are exposed?
Thanks all

Driver's side of the tranny up high. Go under there when the truck is cool and you can trace the O2 wiring to a connector and bracket. Moving that collection of wires affects the tranny harness, it seems.
