I want to do a pan drop, filter replacement instead of a flush.
Is there a synthetic fluid for these that can mix ok? Can I put ATF5+ Synthetic?

What would you do? This jeep has 65,000 miles on it, 1994 5.2, 4x4.

I use ATF+4 in my '94 Jeep GC. I didn't bother with synthetic just because of the price (you need about 4 quarts for a pan drop and about 10 quarts for a full flush; I can confirm this if you need the exact quantities). I'm not sure about ATF+5, but I think the original fluid is ATF+3 and any GREATER number (ATF+4, etc.) will also work. Perhaps someone can confirm ATF+5.

Do you have a limited slip rearend? I am experie3nceing turn hop, after changing all the fluids.

I used 75/90 Mobil1, and ATF+4 in the t-case, and trans. Thats it! It only did it when I pulled into advanced auto after an hours drive. Then again when I got home.

I drained off some excess fluid out of the TC. I would say 4-6 oz. came out. Once it stopped draining, I put theplug back in. Does this sound right?

I also checked the level in the diffs. They are fine.
