Somebody Help About To Junk This Car. thepadealer 10-04-2007, 10:41 AM Doug Tatham 10-04-2007, 02:40 PM Try removing each plug, connecting it to the plug cable and grounding the base. See if you get a nice spark. If you've got that, then try starter spray. Make sure it's getting into the intake! If that gets it trying to kick over, then you've got a fuel problem. If you have a spark and the starter spray doesn't fire, then it's probably a timing issue. Test the broad areas first, then try to narrow it down. thepadealer 10-04-2007, 05:24 PM did spark check OK getting plenty fuel, oiled cylinder walls to increase compression, starting fluid didnt help.any other suggestions please.even tryed to swap out ecm. Doug Tatham 10-05-2007, 12:59 PM It sounds like it has to be the timing. Check your timing marks. Have you actually measured your compression? I would try spinning the engine for a bit with no plugs in it to remove the excess oil. I know a lot of people that put oil in the cylinders to boost compression if they are worried about the rings, but it makes it hard to start if you get too much in there. If you have fuel and you have a spark, there should be fire. The only thing that I can think of is that the timing is off.
