Hello,

could someone please explain to me what a BCM is in my 2001 cavalier?

Not just the full name but what it actually does.

Body Control Module

- Stores milages
- Lighting functions
- Gauge Cluster functions

Pretty much is the central nervous system of your car, which analyzes all the data from the PCM and all the other sensors in the car if something acts up, it tells you through your CEL.
