I've received an Email from Steve (BigMac40) stating as long as the next test goes OK, #24R should be at Magny Cours

So anybody near to Magny Cours, should not miss the opportunity to see Paul Knapfields #24R in action. Also if you are in the paddock, say hello to the team. You will find them very friendly and approachable. Top guys :thumbsup:

That reminds me, I did not get round to posting the 24R pics I took at Silverstone :eek: I,ll try and do some later tonight.

Considering the report that was filed on the GT90's series which claimed that it was Mr Knapfield who initially contacted Stéphane Ratel and helped to instigate the series, one would hope that he does finally get to compete with #24R.

It would be great to see a few others out there as well.

I'll ask tonight; the last I heard was that it was getting it's MOT sorted around this time, but that has been put back until late Oct / early Nov. In my last conversation nothing was mentioned about Magny Cours, but I'll let you guys know later

It doesnt seem likely that #13R will make an appearance; my contact states that the owner, as far as he knows (and he is very good friends with the owner, so much so that he might get the GTR registered in his name over here whilst the owner is in Europe), has no plans to get #13R to Magny Cours :(

I have some news thanks to a friend who calls someone :)
There is #24R confirmed on 3 or 4 which were attended but don't come !

Normally, I will go tomorrow. Keep the fingers crossed for me to enter the track !

Cool, #24R is going then! The shakedown test must have passed with flying colours. So a few other GTR's were invited but didn't make it. My guesses are #13R, #12R, #16R (calling Mr. B!! ;)) and #05R possibly; Can anyone think of any more that may have been invited that could have been eligible to race?

Should still be worth a viewing Phil, good luck on getting in, and fingers crossed for you to see if you can get a Pit Pass

Hi all :)

I made it with a friend yesterday. What a day !

Too many things to say :) We talked a little with Paul Knapfield and GT90 staff. took many pictures, in the box, the pits and the track !

There is some interesting things on this car, it was incredible for me to see a longtail GTR in real ! Hard to imagine it births from a road car.

Photos soon when I have done my work.

There are eight new pics of #24R on Flickr from the recent GT90's event you will not want to miss. They are truly excellent shots taken with a very expensive camera in the hands of a talented photographer. Rare treat I think! :cool:

Those photo's are cool. If you use photobucket, they have quite a decent 'bulk uploader' to make it easier to pick the photo's you want to display; alternatively Imageshack allows you to upload 10 at a time. Unfortuately both take time to load....

You could try www.mytempdir.com; I've used this a couple of time to allow others to access a large uploaded file in its entirety (as long as it's not over 100meg). It takes a while to upload, and is only available for a while before the link expires, but if you do this you just have select the file you want to share, rather than the individual photos.

Perhaps it was destined for #25R and Paul Knapfield needed a new one pronto? Or it was the 25th spare rear bodywork assembly...

Yes, I agree, "025" stands for #25R or spare numer 25. There is no possibiluty it stands for #025 or the spare chassis ?
