:banghead: the other day the radiator resivoir exploded on me so i replaced with new and now i got oil comeing up out of one of the spark plugs and kinda of concerned what might of happend im kinda stumped on this one cause my water level is down to?????????????????????????????????????? :banghead:

If your resevoir exploded your water level should be low, no? Is it running ok? Does it keep overheating?

1. Replace your radiator (resevoir) cap.

2. See if anything improves.

Well your valve cover gasket could be bad but that wouldn't cause the resevoir problem. I can't help more unless you answer the questions in my first post.

the resivoir exploded because my engine fan dont kick in to keep the engin cool while it is idleing so it over heats when running and sitting still so i tried to shut it off that night that it happen but i fell asleep in the parking lot before i got it shut off because i had just worked a 43hrs straight before and was sitting and waiting on a friend and fell asleep thats what happen there.

i now have water in my oil i know what that might be but i have fuel smell in my resivoir that i have no clue on?

So because you didn't want to spend $20 on a fan motor you let your car overheat and blow your headgasket. Now your $20 fan motor is going to cost

$20 for the fan motor (still)
$10-$15 for the resivor for the collant
and from $100-$1,000 for the head gasket to be replaced. The gasket is fairly cheap but if your motor got hot enough to blow put shit then you head it most likey toast.

A head is probably $100-$300 and then the parts inside could be transfer from your old head.

fuel smell is probily misfire from not burning gas. as the plug fouled
from water in oil. thus the gas ends up in the oil because it wasnt burned

Fan goes bad in the cavalier around 100k.

Even after replacing this, had to replace entire head gasket and remachine the head.

Cost around $500 for the labor and parts, and that was because a friend of mine did it.

head gaskets and 2200's don't mix well
