I don't know much about autos but I've always wanted on these. Its in good condition. He just said it has 148k miles, needs brake pads, and the exhaust needs to be replaced.

What do you think? Worth it?

Do the test drive. Break pad is not a big deal but let me give to some rundown for the exhaust system. Get the full details what parts of the exhaust system are needed to replace.
These are the prices for the part of the exhaust.

1- Center exhaust pipe 250 dollars
2-Center muffler 350 dollars
3- Rear Muffler 450 dollars

Catalytic converter and labor are not included. Offcourse these cost are for the new parts.

Milage on the car is not bad. So it is your call. I have the same car if you need any more help let me know.

These are nice cars if they've been cared for. Otherwise they can very easily run you into the poor house........sometimes even if they have been cared for. On the positive side any part you may need is more than likely to be available!

i got my 1983 in the summer for 3500$ thats a good price if it is in good condition. as for those prices for the exhaust system you can get them much cheaper. where i live you dont even need any emissions testing so I could just straight pipe it.

At that milage, you need to know if the timing chain and rails were done.

If it was a diesel I would say hell yeah its a good deal but yeah watch those gassers.
