Soon to be 929 Owner (1989) - What am I getting into

I have a friend who has a 1989 929 that has been cared for like a child.

it has 167,000 miles on it, and looks in immaculate condition. All medical history has been kept on this car, including all oil changes. It had a new transmission put in it back in January of this year. In 05, it had all rings and gaskets replaced.

Just curious, what are some common problems that people see in these cars?

Thanks in advance! I will imagine that I'll be a regular contributor to this board once I start driving it!

If you have problems buy a years subscription from http://www.alldata.com/
It costs around $25.00 a year. They are different to work on and a manual is required. I had electrical problems and I had to get a wiring diagram.

what are you getting into well lets see i would have to say expensive parts and nothing in the way of aftermarket performance. now i love my 91 929 but i am still trying to find parts to get it back to perfect. most of the common parts you can get from a parts store but there are alot of parts that are dealer items only...
