I looked underneath my 93 Jeep Grand Cherokee after I got it back from repair and saw something wierd and I wanted to find out what it was.

It looks like it's part of the transmission bracket. It looks like some sort of support bracket with a round rubber donut in it. In the donut, there's a metal bar, but it isn't connected to anything. Pretty wierd. One side of the bar looks normal, the other side looks like it was sheared off. Everything seems to be fine, and it looks like it's been there a while the way it's rusted, but I'd still like to know what the heck it is.

Any Idea's?

Any places I could see pics, possibly with parts numbered so I can figure it out?

Thanks in advance.

Form what you are describing it sounds like an exhaust hanger.

I agree, It does sound like you are describing the exhaust hanger, it it on the passengerside of the jeep, right next to the transmission on the tranmission crossmember?

AH ok, Thanks. I guess it should be holding up my exhaust then?

Thanks again! U2 !
