1994 Chevy temp guage doesn't workbheston 09-27-2007, 08:27 AM I have a 1994 chevy 350, the temperature guage quit working a few weeks ago. Where is the sensor located on this engine? Should I look at wiring, bad sensor, or bad guage? I'm not sure where to start because I can't tell which sensor on the engine is the temp sensor. Thanks for the help! Bob jocat54 09-27-2007, 08:51 AM The sending unit for the temp gauge should be on the drivers side of the block between the #1 & #3 spark plugs. bheston 09-30-2007, 08:25 AM I don't see any obvious problems with the sending unit or wiring, is replacing the sending unit my best bet here? What about the dash gauge, do those go bad very often? jocat54 09-30-2007, 11:44 PM you could ground the wire going to the sending unit--I can't remember on 1994, but the gauge will go to either all the way hot or all the way cold when you ground the wire with the key on. If it moves one way or the other then the gauge is usually okay. bheston 10-03-2007, 07:59 AM Thanks jocat54, I'll check the gauge to make sure it is working and probably replace the sending unit, I appreciate the help! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
