View Full Version : Detailed Supercharger Instructions Detailed Supercharger Instructions Son of Mes 09-27-2007, 04:45 AM I'm looking for detailed instuctions on putting the GM supercharger in my 99' Z-24. I've been looking through this site for about 4 days now and found out somethings like replacing the starter and doing something with the EGR but I wasn't able to find real instructions or links to instructions. I did use the Search feature but there is alot of info out there and sorting through everyone's opinions on turbo vs. s/c and people tearing into eachother is making it very difficult to locate this info. Some have come close to answering this but it was months ago and I don't know if I ask a question in the existing thread if anybody will ever see it b/c the discussion was from a long time ago. Again, sorry to annoy. I'd appreciate any help. Dr.Mambo666 09-27-2007, 08:38 AM if im not mistaken the gm supercharger is meant for the 2.2 eco engine not a 2.4 dohc? but i could be wrong jakegday 09-27-2007, 08:52 AM they make one for 2.4 as well Classicrocjunkie 09-27-2007, 04:01 PM You'll have to find someone who has em. They only printed them in a paper copy for when you ordered the 2.4l kit. I have the .pdf format for the eco M62 blower quite readily available. I check paceperformance to see if they had em for that M45, but to no such avail. yhandor 09-27-2007, 04:46 PM I need these too, next year, think of putting it on my 97 z24, but I heard you gotta remove EGR and weld a plate over it or something? Classicrocjunkie 09-27-2007, 11:06 PM I heard you gotta remove EGR and weld a plate over it or something? Yep, and you need to tune it on your own. You cannot use the GM tune. yhandor 09-28-2007, 11:37 AM What do you mean tune? You cant just throw it on there and it works? xeroinfinity 09-28-2007, 12:02 PM If you buy a super charger it should come with some sort of generic directions for the install. On tuning, your best bet would be a after market PCM like DHP and then it would need to be tuned to run properly. Wish it was bolt on and Gooo! :D Good Hunting jakegday 09-28-2007, 05:45 PM What do you mean tune? You cant just throw it on there and it works? lol, it MIGHT work but it definetely wouldnt be safe for your engine, tuning is pretty much mandatory Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com!
