mufflers right after catsvortecman 09-24-2007, 08:33 PM im thinking of getting a flowmaster put directly after each cat and getting side exits. what are yall's opinions? (i want the truck as loud and deep as possible) silverado122775 09-25-2007, 11:37 AM Go without the muffler.. you will get that nice deep throating sound and will cost you less than putting a muffler on. I have mine comming out the passenger side before the tire. vortecman 09-25-2007, 09:09 PM so i hate to bring this up- AGAIN, but so long as i go with small pipes, i won't have to worry about losing torque? what size pipe should i go with? i have a flowmaster 40 dumped in stock location already.... dont want to lose ANY torque, just want more sound... silverado122775 09-26-2007, 11:27 AM the exiting pipe from the muffler is not going to make you loose Tq no matter how big the pipe is. But for looks I would not go any smaller than 3". But if you are going to replace the pipe from the cat you can go about 2.5 - 3" and be safe. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
