What size shocks needed for a 3" lift?

Hi,
I have a 95.5 Passport that I bought with a 3" suspension lift and 3" body lift already done. I have just put on new 33x12.5x15 tires but the shocks are still the stock ones... and needless to say they are not doing much at this point. (It should be real easy to replace the shocks with the body lift making the top nut super assessable….I think!??!)
I have tried searching the forum to find a size and/or part number for shocks to use on a 3" lift, but I am still at a loss. I found brands to use but no size or part#.
Do I just upgrade to a better shock that is made for a 95 Passport/Rodeo...or do they make longer shocks that will fit??? I don't want to take it in somewhere and pay a fortune...I just want to find out what to use, then search for the best deal and install them myself
...PLEASE HELP ...
Thanks

Look for Bilstein's....I don't know what part number though, but I think they make longer shocks and are right up your alley for your rig usage.

Ole man emo (IIRC) is another shock that's gotten good reviews.

Here are the rancho 9000 numbers, maybe you can cross reference them to what ever brand you want to use (I prefer the ranchos).

Rear: RS-99179
Front: RS-99214 or RS-99136

On the front the 214s are stock length. Thats what I went with on mine but some ppl said they are limiting travel. Apparently Indy4x sells a different model with the kits now which I believe to be the 136s. Mine seem to be working fine so far though.

Here (http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=499354&page=&view=&sb=5&o=&fpart=&vc=1&PHPSESSID=) is more info then you ever wanted to know about rancho shock fitment lol

Just the normal model for a 1995 passport is a longer shock??? ..or they make longer ones that will work?

I can find part numbers of shocks (various brands) that will fit a 91-97 Passport/Rodeo... but nothing that says it will fit one with a 3" lift?!

I am not looking to spend to much on a set, I just would like something on the truck that is not already bottomed out. :cwm27:

Honestly I'm not positive what the part numbers would be; I know Bilstein makes longer shocks for lifted Nissan Xterra's, but I haven't had a chance to look on their site within the last year. But I know a lot of Rodeo owners use them.
