my civic is currently a manual trans and it does quite feel right for that type of car, so im looin at doin a full trans swap to a manual, i was just wondering wat parts i need in order to do so, thanx.

Have you ever done transmission swap???

You might want to consider selling your car and buying one with the transmission that you need...It will be the cheapest way to go, I'd say.

Youre saying the Si trans. doesnt feel right for the engine? What do you mean by that? Slow?

the guy is from canada so si to him = ex to us. there's a nice long list of parts that you need. if you search throughout the civic forums you'll find it. I know, because I posted that list years ago when I did my 4g civic trans swap. So it'll be different since I used a cable clutch and not hydraulic. But most of what you need will be in that list.

Oh ok. It usually ends up being around $600-1000 (USD) If you plan on keeping the car a few years then its a good idea. But if you just want something faster or more sporty, then you might want to look at a different car. Mine has a bunch of work done to it already so I would be wasting money if I got rid of it now, cheaper just to do motor and trans swap.

yea i plan on keeping the car for a while, its in mint condition, its a 2000 and has only like 80000 km's on it and i just spent 6 g's on it repairing damages i did to it after a collision. i know where i can get a manual trans but i dunno how many more parts there r on the list, and i was wondering if and trans from 96-00 will fit or does it have to strickly be a 00' si trns
