Ground Wires

I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything about R-1 Ground Wires. It is supposed to collect all the groungs and ground them directly to the negative terminal of the battery. Is it a good idea or not???

dumb idea .......... and here's why. NOTHING will provide a better, low resistance path back to the battery than the car's chassis.

Hes right. Pick a unpainted part of the chassis and just use that

so what were the wires intended for then? Which parts? Will it be a big difference anyway if it is grounded to the body or straight to the negative terminal???

Ground Wires are good. They are actually proven to add 2-5hp on most applications. And yes they are basically just replacements for your older stock wires. They are more conductive and have less resistance, therefor providing a good solid ground, to engine and chassis....

nice car wagsaccordsir. SO which parts or where so I re-ground. Do you have those wires on your accord??? The wires came with seven wires and one block that is supposed to gather all the different wires and route them to the negative terminal. If you know what parts it is meant for, It would be much appreciated if you help me out. I say its worth a try.

I don't have them "YET", that is my next upgrade. As for exactly what wire goes where; I'm not sure. I'm suprised that the instructions don't tell you specifically. I can say that you either would wing it and match the lengths of the wires and swap em one at a time. (Be sure to disconnect your battery first. ) I do know that the negative terminal goes to your starter as well as your alternator, the engine block and usually on or around the valve cover, I think there is one on the backside of the block as well, not for sure though. Then of course to your chassis, making sure to also connect the engine to the chassis. I have seen people even run extra wire to each of their spark plug wells, (where they actually attach it to I'm not for sure). Well thats all I can come up with, I hope it helps you out. If nothing else call the company you got them from and ask them the specific grounding points. Either that or be patient and someone who knows exactly where they go will post.. I was thinking this was a car stereo type product .......... if it's a performance product that is meant for underhood applications, then it might be worthwile. Especially if it upgrades the size of the ground wires.
