I replaced the filter and fliud in my tranny and now the reading on the dipstick "cold" is just above the top mark. Is this considered over filled? I would imagine when it's hot it's even more above that mark. If it is overfilled can I remove the fluid by sucking it out of the dipstick tube since this is how you fill it. I would use a small hand pump to do it. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The hot mark as more important then the cold level. Warm it up and see. If your over full. You have to check with the engine running. Draw some out with a vacuum pump.
