Should I buy this 1990 Accord?bohochic13 09-18-2007, 09:05 PM I just test drove a 90 Accord EX with some probs. Now, I am on an extreme budget. I am moving down south and I need a car that will get me around town for about 6 months until I am on my feet and can save up to do better. This Accord is only $1195. It has a prob with the Speedometer (doesn't work) and the flashing S light, which I read meand the speed pulser/speed sensor needs replacing. It needs a tail pipe. I test drove it, it was fine. Looked for leaks under the hood-none. Oil was dirty (just like it hadn't been changed) but not burnt smelling and no heavy deposits. The body is so so. It has about 215,000 miles and the lot will give me a warranty, probably for about 3 months. I'm thinking I don't mind to put about $500 more into it to get by these next few months. What do you guys (the experts!) think? wiseguy01 09-18-2007, 09:11 PM I just test drove a 90 Accord EX with some probs. Now, I am on an extreme budget. It should be red. Check the CV boots for breaks and throwing grease and noise on turns. Tail pipes are cheap at an aftermarket shop. If everything checks out, it is a good buy. JayBurd3 10-31-2007, 11:46 AM buy it the speed sensor is easy to fix the car is reliable and will last for atleast 300k vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
