What is The Run?

The Run is a non-profit charity event in which all proceeds and donations will go directly to this year’s chosen charity… All Children's Hospital.

A little history and info:
The Run is an annual charity event hosted by the 350z Club of Florida in Tampa Bay to celebrate the return of Nissan’s sports car, The Z. The Z was reborn in late 2002 under the new name of the 350Z. Included in the purchase this awesome vehicle was a promotional video called The Run. This video features the new 350Z demonstrating its true capabilities on a high-speed, spirited drive through the vacant streets of Prague.

The 1st “The Run” event was held in September 2003, and at this year's event we will be celebrating the 5th anniversary of the launch of this magnificent machine. Those who participate will take part in a "Poker Run", along with a timed event that will be done through a predetermined course. In our Run we route a course through Tampa Bay that will be both scenic and exciting, during which all participants ensure that all traffic laws are observed. The final destination will be in the front car lot at Autoway Nissan of Brandon, with food and a huge charity raffle drawing many prizes. Don’t forget to bring extra cash for raffle tickets. Some of last year’s big ticket items were Nismo S-Tune cat-back exhaust system, Nismo Cold Air Intake, $1000 off stage 1 Turbonetics single turbo kit, and any more. Each raffle item will each have a drop box so you can pick what you want to win. Remember, there is no limit to how many you can buy. The more you enter, the better your chances. And again, all money that is collected from the registration fees and all raffles will go to All Children’s Hospital to help them build a new home for the kids!

Who is invited to participate?

Last year we had such an awesome turn out with everyone who helped and participated that we would like to again invite all 350Z, G35 owners along with their friends to participate in The Run. Please keep in mind that since this event is geared towards the 350z, most of the raffle prizes will be for the 350z and G35 owners. However our general raffle does include many general prizes for everyone.

What is the Poker Run?
While driving the course, there will be five stops set up at various locations. At each stop, there will be a 350Z Club of Florida officer along with a “The Run” volunteer waiting with a deck of playing cards. Each driver will be allowed to draw one (1) and only one card which will be recorded on the drivers’ card sheet. At the end of The Run, the driver with the best poker hand will win a great prize!

What is the Timed Run?

First and foremost, “It is NOT a race for the fastest time]”. It is to see how accurate you are at driving the predetermined course. While driving in “The Run”, each car will be timed. As in previous years, The Run officers and volunteers (who still will not be competing in the timed event) drove the course multiple times to get an average time for which it takes to complete. This includes traffic lights, traffic conditions, obeying speed limits, etc. The participant that completes the course closest to the predetermined average (higher OR lower) will win a prize!

How does the Charity Raffle work?

Each time you purchase a raffle ticket, it will benefit the All Children’s Hospital. Every raffle item featured in the charity raffle will have been donated by our sponsors. Once we receive them, they will be announced to all. Some of last year’s charity raffle items included a Nitrous Xpress Kit from Performance Factory, 3M Clearbra from Autopaintgaurd, Forged Shift knobs, Tein Springs, Multiple gift certificates and much more.

Please keep in mind that we also hold a general raffle which includes all general items such as gift certificates and clothing which each participant is entered in.

Many of the big ticket items that will be listed soon will also be featured at Autoway Nissan of Brandon in our individual raffle. This allows you to choose exactly which item you're interested in. As we get info and prizes from the sponsors, we will update you with the items.

Pre-Registration (November 24th or prior): $25 per car

Registering The Day-of The Run (December 1st): $35 per car
