Im trying to remove the front rotors on a 97 avalon for my sister inlaw. It looks like there is only 4 bolts to remove. I still cannot pull off the rotor, is there something im missing?

There are six hex bolts to remove.make sure to rotate cv joint to double check.Cv joint should then slide out no problem,if it doesn't you will need to give a pull. This is a simple process. I just had the other end of the cv joint off this wknd. in 10 minutes.

After the caliper mount is removed, the rotor is free to slide off the hub. Before you remove the rotor, place matchmarks on the rotor and hub so that the rotor will be replaced with the same orientation as it was removed.

There are two holes in the rotor inside the lugs where you can screw bolts. If some persuasion with a plastic mallet on the rear of the rotor doesn't dislodge it, thread two bolts into the rotor through these holes and tighten them evenly once resistance is felt. They will pull the rotor off the hub.
