ignition wiring

My ignition on my 98 jimmy has been messed up and the key wont kick off. Does anyone know what the green and white wire works. That is the wire that is dead and wont let the key kick all the way off. I put a jumper wire on it and the key will kick back all the way off, but it has no power through it. Will that cause a po753 code and no shifting into second gear?

I've heard a PO753 is an issue that may be resolved by:

- replacing solenoid A in the tranny OR
- getting a new computer

Hope this helps.

I have replaced the solenoids and the wiring harness in the transmission, but it could be the computer, dont really know, thought it might be the ignition wiring.

Have you checked any fuses and relays for the ignition? Or how about the tumbler itself malfunctioning?

You need to start anew post on your problem.
Give year and engine.
In the mean time check all fuses and fuse links and power feeds.
