Kind of overshadowed by the news of the loss of Colin McRae. But I see Marcus Gronholm has announced he and Timo Rautianen will retire at the end of the year.

I hope he can go out on a super high and take the championship. Cause with him gone I can't imagine anybody challenging Loeb in the foreseeable future.

I'm sad to see him go, and I also hope he takes the championship this year, afterall, he's put in some fantastic performances.

Who knows, maybe there's someone young and upcoming and capable of beating Loeb? Hirvonen perhaps (would feel weird without a Finn at the sharp end, eh?:))

I will miss his frustration based tantrums.. Marcus is the best in my book.
