If I'm not mistaken, I remember reading about those Lingenfelter 'Vette's. I don't know if it's the same mods, but the video shows that it may be.

The Lingenfelter 'Vette I read about had twin-turbos and was capable of running 9's with slicks and tens on street-tires. It's top-speed was about 225MPH. Don't remember the power figures, but I'm pretty sure it's sick.

Let's just say that Eclipse never even had a shadow of a chance...

The car that beat the F18 and ran the 9 second time(on slicks, ty motor trend :rolleyes: ) was a twin turbo 7 liter LS1 powered C5 Corvette...

Yes that is the twin turbo LS1, I remember the first post of this by the camera guy on one of the other message boards I frequent. I believe that the GS had been tuned to about 325hp or so.

I don't even have to watch this one, and I know what you're talking about. It's a red C-5 with chrome Z06 wheels. Even thouh it says something about a low 13 sec DSM vs Lingenfelter vette, it is in fact a Doug Rippie vette. The car in question has heads, cam, nitrous(though he did'nt spray. There was a large debate about this video on two other forums monrhs ago. Besides, the vette is waaay to loud to be turboed.

Last time I had a check-up (a few months ago), they told me I still wasn't color-blind...DeViL's vid had a red Corvette in it.

LT1-Z is right...its a DRM (Doug Rippie Motorsports) C5. The guy that owns it said that he did spray though when they lined up the second time...thats why he had such a crappy start. I believe its putting down close to 430rwhp without the N20.

That 427-TT you guys are talking about just ran an 8.95 @ 154mph last week. This is with ET streets...not even full-on drag slicks;)

Sure it's driveable. You get an indash boost controller, and set the boost to 5 psi for daily driving. When you want to run, set it back up to 20 psi.

If I remember right...Lingenfelter doesn't make a Z51R...They make the Z51, twin turbo, all that good stuff. And people add the "R" on their own because of some upgrade package they buy. Really has nothing to do with Lingenfelter though. I think that's the story anyways. Either way, like the other guy said, that's not a Lingenfelter in that video, just some old time RICER badging his car incorrectly!!!!:D :flipa: haha, but then again, if you're car is that fast and looks that good, you can badge it as a 2009 F16 Swingwing Tomcat and no one will say a damn thing to you about it:D
