1999 Ram: No Brake Lights

I'm trying to fix a problem on a friend's 1999 Ram 1500.
It has no brake lights.
The four way flashers work fine, so the bulbs are good.
I replaced the brake light switch, and followed the instructions regarding the calibration.
It does not have any voltage to any pins on the connector.
I can find no fuse related strictly to the brakes.
I don't have a drawing and need a little help on wherer the voltage to the switch originates.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

which connector? and the 4 ways use the blinker side of the bulb the brake lights use the other. a haynes manual has a wiring diagram in it. have you checked for voltage at the brake light switch? or is this where you have no volts. if you have volts here and not at light then could be a ground issue on both lights .

I got it fixed (so far).
As it turns out I found in another thread about fuse 5. I swapped it out with the hazard fuse (also a 20 amp) and the brake lights work again.
I pulled apart the old switch out of curosity and it had a lot of goo in it. Possibly this blew the fuse and having replaced both will colve the problem.
It's not my truck, just helping out a friend. I know nothing about Dodges. Now Fords are a different matter.

Thanks for the reply
