Just wondering everyone's thoughts about differences in brands of synthetic oil such as Mobil 1, Penzoil, Castro, or even Wal Mart's Tru-Tech. The 1st 3 are $6 a quart compared to Tru-tech $3.50. It says it exceeds manufactor standards. Thanks for any help!

If it has the ASE and API ratings it should be fine.

You get what you pay for...stick with the top shelf, name brand oils. Remember its going into one of the most expensive items you will ever buy outside of your house... Why would you cheat yourself for $20..???

Do youself a favor and check out bobistheoilguy.com. I stick with name brand oil but synthetics and stuff like amsoil is way overkill. There is some really usefull info on the site.
