strut problem

OK so I hit a big pothole last night and now there's a really weird clunking noise near the trunk. It's like, when I hit a bump it makes a lound clunk noise, but then after that I hear another weird rattle sound. It seems like it's definately the strut, but if not, what else would it be? I don't wanna hurt my car, but it doesnt seem like it's hurting anything, it's just loud.

Only thing to do is check it out.

It could be a list of possibilities

-bent strut
-bent/busted strut mount
-bent wheel
-or worst case scenario the metal where the strut comes thru and mounts is busted/broken
