excessive inner wear, rear tirebrian h 09-11-2007, 04:48 PM I have a 96 civic dx, and my rear passenger tire is showing wear on the inside. I rotated them, and checked the drums, and the tire I put in that position got the same wear. Looking at it closely, it appears to have a negative camber, but it's hard to tell with an eyeball. I hear no strange noises, and it doesn't pull. Anyone know what could cause this? wiseguy01 09-11-2007, 04:56 PM u need a four wheel alignment paintless 09-11-2007, 05:10 PM the cause? bad alignment. go get one immediately, if you are still having wear problems, it is an indication of a far more serious problem Greenblurr93 09-11-2007, 05:25 PM yep, im willing to bet your toe is out of spec as well...get an alignment brian h 09-11-2007, 08:43 PM I didn't know you could have a rear-end alignment problem. Huh, well, I will go get that taken care of, and hope it's nothing more. Thanks!! wiseguy01 09-11-2007, 08:56 PM yea because your rear end is not a solid axle like trucks that have rwd and they get alignment lined up to the rear tires but because hondas have independent axles and suspension and such so they have to align the rear tires first than align the front tires to the back tires.. dont you love hondas lol vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
