We are in the market for an Outback because someone turned my wife's Escort wagon into a sedan (by rear-ending her on a freeway offramp) My experience is with the big old American gas hogs--Suburbans and such, but now we would like to get a used Outback. What Should we be looking for when purchasing a used 1996-2001 Outback? Thanks for your responses.
