I was just curious about the difference in power and tourqe of these engines and basically which one is stronger. A guy had offered me one with the d16 and another guy offered me a civic with the b16. Basically same price just curious which one id get more out of. Ty for your help guys. IF anyone could give me some pros and cons on each that would be of great help.

dohc b16 has like 160 and 11tq or somethign close and the sohc d16 has about 130 and like 101tq or something. jsut look it up online for total numbers. but b16's typically are faster when compared stock to stock. there just alittle more money.

the b16a2 is the si motor and that is the beter choice they are a much fast motor plus the tranis for those motors are a limited slip (lsd)

just because its a si motor means nothing. simply the higher compression, higher rev limit and dual cams is what makes the power. besides you can put a lsd into a d series.its really not that much different from a sohc. honestly a b18b will give you all you desire. lots of low end torque and damn nice price tag of them to.
