tire question (am i being had??)

i recently noticed a shake in my car, so I inspected the tire and noticed a bubble. I had the front right tire moved to rear left and had the car realigned (as a "patch" job for now till i can replace the tire too) . now my car pulls REALLY hard to the right. The place that did it is saying the pull is because of the tread difference on my tires. The thing is, the one they put up front (the one from the rear) is a deeper tread depth than the others (it was put on the same time as others/ same type of tire but thats another thing all together) i dont see how this would cause the tire to pull out (noticable pull from front end). Are they right and its the tread?? or do they just not want to fix their work?

swap front tires right to left & see if pull changes. yes a tire tread can make a car pull

it's not the depth of said tread, if the patterns don't match it can pull.

Check the air pressure and yes, swap the tires from side to side. More than likely the tire that pulls has a "dominant belt" in it. There 's no real explanation for it other than there's no fix for it.

When I ran across one in a new tire installation, if it was ok with the customer I'd switch it to the rear, but most of the time we'd switch it for another new tire and send the bad one back as a new defect.

Used tires are always a bag of snakes especially when mixing and matching to get the best out of a set.
