2000 Camry strut problemBWhiteGT 09-06-2007, 10:20 PM My father and I changed out my front struts a few weeks back and ever since then I have been hearing a weird noise. It is a popping/wrenching sound and happens whenever any load is placed on the front drivers side (turning or going over bumps). We have tried swapping the struts and ensured that they are not loose. I have read a few posts related to changing bushings and strut tower mounts but these appear to be solutions to noise that is made when the car goes over bumps. I can create the noise by just turning the wheel. Additionally, the noise cannot be heard from outside the car. It can only be heard inside...:uhoh: Any ideas? Thanks for your help. RIP 09-07-2007, 02:45 AM Try touching each component as you turn the wheel and "feel" for the pop. I would learn toward the upper mount. Next time try Monroe Quick Struts if they are available for your Camry. You get the strut, springs, mounts, bushings etc as an assembled unit. No coil spring compressor required to install. No more pulling them back out to change mounts either. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
