1991 Toyota Camry - Blinkers are on constantPERFXN 09-05-2007, 08:14 PM Hey guys, Just came up with a new problem with my 1991 Toyota Camry (4cylinder). When i used the indicators to turn last night, I realised it wasnt making the clicking noise, and the little turning arrow on the cluster was on contantly in stead of blinking. I then checked to see if my indicator lights on the outside worked, they did, but they were on constant too, instead of blinking... After i realised it for a while, it started to go back to normal and start blinking. Then 10seconds later its back to the problem again. It would change constantly, sometimes it blinks sumtimes it stays constant, but the percentage of it being constant is more then it blinking normally again. Do you guys know what i can do to fix the problem or what is the problem to start with? Cheers RIP 09-06-2007, 12:12 AM Welcome to the forum. Change the flasher module under the dash on the drivers side. It's what makes the click noise. Might try tapping on it or reseating it first. PERFXN 09-06-2007, 02:39 AM Welcome to the forum. I have chnged out a few on American cars through the years and they were a round little cylinder, but that does not mean the Toyota ones wil be the same. However, there are 2 things you can try to help locate it. First, go buy a new one at the dealer or an aftermarket auto parts store. Then with that one in hand you will know what they look like. If you go to the dealership's parts department and ask them nicely, they will probably just show you what the Toyota OEM one looks like. Another way to find it is when it is clicking, stick your head under the dash and follow the sound. When you find it and you put your fingers on it you will probably be able to feel it clicking. This should not be an expensive part to replace, especially aftermarket. Good luck. No one else carries it so I guess it's to the dealer? They'll probably want $40 for it :( somick 11-28-2007, 11:33 AM WOW what are the odd the same exact thing happened to our '88 camry. They have three relays between 8 and 13 dollars (plus shipping). Somebody posted a 5% discount for rockauto on www.toyotanation.com. I saw it there last week. Search either general discussion or generation 5. Good luck and welcome to the forum! Sam Wile E. Coyoda 11-28-2007, 11:45 PM THANK YOU so very much. I had no idea an answer would come so soon.
