My stock intake runs from the air box into the intake manifold+another box with a bunch of sensors. This kit is supposed to run right into the intake manifold but what do I do about the box with all the sensors? I don't know if my car my will operate correctly.

QUESTION?:
Does it matter if the box of sensors is not connected to the incoming air line?

From what it sounds like, you're talking about the mass air flow sensor. Put simply, if you don't have everything hooked up, there's a big chance that your car will run like crap.

I figured out that the mysterious box was actually the EVAP box, not the MAF box. SO the intake is installed. Runs great, sounds great, looks great.

what exactly does the EVAP box do?? It doesn't throw a code without that on there?

The EVAP can get tripped on newer camrys by things as small as a gas cap that isn't tight enough. There's a lot that can trip codes on the EVAP, but it's possible to override the system and let it accept aftermarket parts, IIRC.
