I am going to build the Rx-7 in Fast and the Furious.... Does anyone know how i could make/find the decals and has this Rx7 ever been "done?" Also, does anyone have any pictures of this car, cause i can only find a couple!

on HLJ, there's an Fujimi RX-7 listed on the "future releases" page that is called "Dominic RX-7", and is the first car in a series called Street Racer or something like that, and Fujimi makes the Veilside RX-7 with the same body kit as the Fast and the Furious one. so i'm kind of starting to wonder if they're making the actual Fast and the Furious RX-7 with full decals etc. Fujimi also makes the wheels that the car in the movie had (Andrew Racing F). keep an eye on that one, i have many reasons to believe it's a replica of the car you're looking to build.

Can you post a link to that page? Ive been lookin around for a future release page but I couldent find one.
The rx-7 in f&f is ( i think) the same one that fujimi offers as a veilside rx-7, but with decals.
Did you guys know, F&f in japan is known as "Wildo Speed"

Fujimi has a veilside RX7?

Did you guys mean Aoshima?

Replace Fujimi with Aoshima, and the above discussion is correct. I also found another source, (a distributor called Sakamoto Shouten) which lists it as a future release from Aoshima, but no word from the manufacturer yet. strange...

Check out:
http://www.xs4all.nl/~erix7/rx7kits/aos-fd3x.html#Veil2
for the Aoshima kit and the parts required for the F&F conversion.

The announced Aoshima Wild Speed "Dominique RX-7" can be found at HLJ at:
http://www.hlj.com/cgi-local/hljpage.cgi?AOS31346
but notice they list it already as out-of-production (though it never was produced sofar AFAIK so it might have been canceled).

I don't know if anyone dared to copy the graphics of the F&F RX-7, these were copyrighted by the designer rather than by the movie studio and from what I heard it might get expensive to make legal copies of it.
The RX-7 used in F&F was an existing car that was borrowed for the movie, it was not created for F&F.

There were some detail pics at http://www.jdmconnection.com/ but this site was taken down a few months ago. There also are some nice pics in the Belgian magazine "Opgezet" Vol.58 including some interior shots.

HTH,

OBTW, the Little Garage headlight kit mentioned on that page is very hard to get AFAIK and only available in Japan.
Similar recessed headlights are also in the Rosso DORI2 RX-7 kits but these are an equally rare find.
That's why I was quite peeved to find that Fujimi hadn't bothered to include the proper headlights in their Greddy Amemiya RX-7 FD3S kit...

Here's a few pics, I kinda went the extra mile with the paint and rear end. The interior is Rust-Oleum Sand with black inserts and the exterior color I used is Rust-Oleum Sunrise Red. The exterior closely matches the actual red. The rear was all custom done. Took alot of movie watching time and alot of online pics to make the stuff. The rims are from HLJ, Andrew Racing somethings. If you use them you'll have to fit them to the car because they're not made by the same company. Ask anyone about this, Fly might be able to help you out alot more than some. Here are the pics. Sorry for blurry or big pics.
