Purchasing a Zbaj 11-19-2002, 04:39 PM Hello, I have been actively looking to buy a 300zx for a few months now. After months of looking I think I have finally found the one. I've got to call about it and meet with the owner soon. Before I go see it, I was wondering if anyone had any advice on things to look out for, or things I should be sure to check when purchasing a Z. I have wanted a 300zx since high school. Everything I hear says that they are great cars but that poor maintennce kills them quickly. It is a 1991 Twin Turbo 5speed, with 120,000 miles. Thanks in advance for any advice! Cheers, baj ZRob 11-19-2002, 08:08 PM Go to www.twinturbo.net, www.z32.org and click on the FAQ's apaulkalipz 11-21-2002, 04:50 PM the miles seem kinda high. i'd look into how well the Z was maintained. oil changes, interior/exterior looks, and also...see when was the last time the Z went to the dealership for the major maintenance plan, i think the one you're lookin at should be ready for the 120K check up. those cost about $1000+ to do, because a lot of parts are replaced. yes, and go to www.twinturbo.net for good information. also, there's a bunch of dudes selling their Z's with mods already on them. you'll find good deals, some with low miles. good luck. baj 11-21-2002, 05:30 PM Yeah I've lived on twinturbo.net and zdriver for the past few months now. I'll keep looking thanks for the response. baj vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
