Ford Freestar 2007 In an Accident

Can someone tell me what the difference is between a Unibody and a Frame. I was in an accident and the rear of my Freestar was crushed in the back. I am not sure what my insurance company is going to do with the van as of yet. I was standing still when a speeding truck plowed in to the person behind me who than plowed in to me. If they go ahead and repair the van is there anything I should be aware upon getting the Freestar back?

Any help in answering my question would be greatly appreciated.

Without seeing the damage it is hard to tell. Some can be fixed, some can't. A unibody has the frame as part of the sheetmetal, all in one.

As far as the Bumper cover it runs about 800,00 after paint.. Now in your case your bumper support frame must be damage as well. Is your rear quarter panels damaged.?? If all the damage is on the bumper than you should not have an issue as far as being ok to drive again. If the damage is going into the rear hatch and quarters then your frame is most likely bent..
