Dented exhaust pipe connecting to manifoldmuley88 08-28-2007, 10:46 PM http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/C:%5CDocuments%20and%20Settings%5COwner%5CDesktop% 5CIMG_3383.jpg I am replacing a cracked exhast manifold on my 96 cherokee. When I unbolted the manifold connecting to the pipe right underneath where the flange is, the pipe was completely dented on both sides like someone grabbed it and just squeezed. I know a ton of you folks out there have done this repair on your cherokees. Have you noticed anything like this? It looked unnatural to me. Sorry the picture may not work! citizen@large 08-28-2007, 10:55 PM being so common, of the course the pic isn't going to ork for this one... that is what is called a 'factory/design' flaw. by me at least. everybodys got it, and has to work around it if flow is an issue. (the rear driveshaft, if im not backwards) I've changed to after market headers and am having a time trying to figure out how to get the shaft around the pipe myself as well. Anybody else? It is for clearance when the front axle on the 4wd model is flexing and going up and down. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
