i have a 1988 acura legend 2.7L FI SOHC what can be done to this to beef up the performance and power.

alot of stuff can be done to any engine but man that is a heavy car.. k&n intake and take care of it even if you were to dump a couple grand in this the power to weight ratio will not be that good or worth it
