My only problems with the product are a lack of available colors,(I wish they had a wider variety,) and my local stores stocking enough on their shelves. In the past I have used other Krylon products,(this was before their Fusion line came out,) on the interior of my 1964 Bel Air with excellent results. JStumpalump150 08-27-2007, 09:52 PM yeah, not a wide selection but i lucked out and this color matched my car almost perfectly. I tend to go for the "offbeat" colors and something like that fits the bill. I'll have to keep an eye out the next time I'm in the store for that color. Maybe I'll do a chair or something with it:lol:. mike2004tct 08-27-2007, 09:56 PM I've used the Krylon Fusion on many projects around the house, and am very pleased with the product. My only problems with the product are a lack of available colors...... Just got done painting my tire carrier on my car with satin finish black, to match the original color of the plastic. I also used Fusion Pink gloss finish on some shutters on my kids' play house 5 years ago. Still holding up good, considering the weather changes we go through here. The local Ace Hardware in town carries a full line of Fusion paint, must be at least 50 different colors, in 3 different finishes (not all colors; gloss, satin, flat). Give Ace a try if you have one nearby. JStumpalump150 08-27-2007, 10:04 PM check out my dome light, it looks like an alien. lol http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f268/JStumpalump150/IMG_1213.jpg Blue Bowtie 08-27-2007, 10:35 PM Then there is always the option of visiting your local auto paint supplier. They can mix any color you want, in nearly any volume from ¼ pint to 55G drums. They can even put it in aerosol spray cans for you. You'll get an exact match of real automotive paint that way. lilsweets3138 08-28-2007, 12:57 AM I must say the alien is cute! hehe. So I guess Krylon it is, I am assuming I prime it first with plastic primer by krylon then paint and then the krylon gloss. Thanks for your help. yhandor 08-28-2007, 02:58 AM I like Duplicolor better. mike2004tct 08-28-2007, 07:43 AM I must say the alien is cute! hehe. So I guess Krylon it is, I am assuming I prime it first with plastic primer by krylon then paint and then the krylon gloss. Thanks for your help. No primer needed. The paint is made specifically for plastic. Just clean the plastic with soap & water- make sure to remove any grease, and remove any residue with water. JaysZ24 08-28-2007, 10:58 AM I have used both paints and also like Duplicolor better it has a better nozzle on the can n is alot easier to spray so u wont get runs DeadBlade89 08-28-2007, 12:38 PM Duplicolor FTW better product overall Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com!
