my car has this weird low rpm studder problem thats been happening for awhile but is just now getting worse...i'll explain, the engine/chassis studder only accures between idle and about 2,500 rpms. during the studdering it looses power but once above 2,000-2,500 there is a sudden rush of power. above that it runs like a champ and is one of the fastest sohc in town. it also has a very erratic idle but only sometimes, usealy on really hot days. any suggestions? thanks guys

On hot days and/or when you're driving it at higher rpms, do you ever smell sulfer (rotten eggs)? Your cat could be clogged.

i also changed out the fuel filter when this started happening a few months ago, i havn't checked the sensor but would that really cause something like this, it's very predictable lol it happens everytime. i can't take off from a stop with out it going du du du du du until it hits 2,000rpms unless i rev high and burn the clutch

hmm.. maybe, at idle it may be getting a wrong reading and causing your A/F mixture to be off. any is possible with cars...
