Ding, Ding keeps going after key is removed

Every once in a while when I take my key out of the ignition, the ding, ding, chime I guess they call it keeps dinging.
I put the key back in and move it a little take it out and it stops.
Does that sound like the ignition cylinder or could it be something else?

That used to happen to my wifes car all the time. Where you insert your key is actually a silver button which is why when you turn your car on you press the key (button) and hold it in towards the steering column to turn it on. Next time it happens. just press it in with your fingertip and it should pop back out instead of putting your key back in a nd jiggling it. I hope this helps :popcorn:
