I need to know what transmissions are compatible with a 2000 Rodeo vs 3.2 automatic?

As far as I know, as a direct fit, there's only the GM 4L30-E, which is what came out.

what do you mean: "...vs. 3.2 automatic " ?

you can go to the isuzu online parts site www.myisuzuparts.com (http://www.myisuzuparts.com)

look up the Automatic Transmission ASM. find your model/year in the parts list below the illustration, click on the ?-mark icon and you will get a popup listing all the vehicles/models that have that particular partnumber.
you will see there are several different part numbers, indicating somewhat different transmissions depending on year and on whether 4x2 or 4x4, etc. and you will see they switched to the Aisin trans in 2003(?). the 4L30-E is noted there as "A/T THM".

however, you say "....compatible"... which is somewhat different. if you want to know whether a trans from another can be *made* to work with some minor workarounds or computer/harness swaps for example, there is only one person i'd ask and be sure of the answer: namely JLEMOND an ex isuzu tech trainer and current shop owner and seller of isuzu oem parts and the walking encyclopedia of all things isuzu. so you might want to post a message on http://forum.planetisuzoo.com/index.php?sid=df0479dc009d6948ea735af0ba3490f9 or http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=UBB68 two sites he frequents, and/or send him a PM over at one of those sites. in fact, you might want to do a search at those sites and you might get your question already answered.

what are you contemplating?

sorry about that, I meant 3.2L V6, automatic tranny.

Im just looking to do a direct swap, as mine is out. so I was looking for vehicles that I can could get from salvage that would have the same tranny to switch out.

ah, no problem...makes sense now...

so looking up the info in the www.myisuzuparts.com (http://www.myisuzuparts.com) sounds like the easiest and surest way
