I'm trying to paint the rear buckets on my 180sx to look like this:

What do you guys suggest, painting or Yokomo decal carbon sheet? How about a smaller pattern on the decal, such as 1/24 or 1/20 carbon fiber decal sheet? If paint is the best way, should I go for semi-gloss black or gunmetal?

Any suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Is this in relation to an RC car, a scale model or something else?

The picture is suppost to be actual lights for a real car. I have some bucket rear lights for my 180sx R/C car (scale 1:10) that are similar in style in the sense that it has the three red lamps but the rest of the bucket is chrome. I'd like to repaint them to look as much as possible like the ones pictured. Do you guys think the color is a semi gloss black or more in the dark grayish side? I dont suppost cabron fiber decals would get that result?

i reckon if you want a show car that people will look at on a shelf real closely and go WOW! then use the carbon decals. if not, you may aswell paint it black, and save the carbon decals for something else?

Ive never had a carbon decals, i got a really good tinted carbon effect with some black paint and a colour shift transparent paint. its ace on my skyline, but i race it so it is a bit worn, i may post it later to show you the effect.
