Anyone know how to change a timing chain on a 1999 sentra 1.6 liter?

I don't have a manual for that car, but the short version of how to do it is remove everything that is in front of the timing belt cover, then remove the timing belt cover, do whatever you need to do to loosen the timing belt tensioner then replace the belt and put everything back together.

I have a 99 Suzuki Esteem with a 1.6 liter engine, nobody makes a manual for it so I had to figure it out myself, took about ten hours in my driveway. Even though it took ten hours the belt only cost $15(US), the Suzuki dealer would have charged $600 to do it for me.

uh oh...i hope you didnt try it using just those instructions...buy a service manual (at least a haynes manual). doing a timing chain wrong is bad news bears. oh and why are you changing it? timing chains dont have a service interval. they dont really need to be changed unless you notice your timing is off and its not because of anything else, or your gonna race your car and it has a ton of miles.
