Turbo Automatic civic240slider 08-20-2007, 08:43 PM Has anyone done this besides the one guy I saw on you tube .Which by the way kicked ass .I was thinking of doing this and need serious answers.I just want to know what is involved. Oh here is the link to the turbo auto civic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZ53kxFkby8 Greenblurr93 08-23-2007, 06:18 PM dont do it, honda auto trannys are weak and youll blow it 240slider 08-23-2007, 07:31 PM I know they are weak but I'm talking low boost 8psi max .And when I was a honda tech I saw more v6 auto tranny problems .but I never saw a forced inducted 4 cyl auto come in the door .I'm really looking for whats next .as far as upgrades.I have almost all the little normal bolt on stuff I/E/H/Pulleys .And I was considering buying the turbo set up from a reputable company . Greenblurr93 08-23-2007, 07:53 PM any honda auto tranny is weak, ive seen 4cyl honda with a basic I/H/E start slipping within months... your first mod should be an auto to manual swap.. especially if your thinking of moddin alfonso2501 08-26-2007, 05:03 PM ....when I was a honda tech I saw more v6 auto tranny problems .but I never saw a forced inducted 4 cyl auto come in the door.... That's because I believe most guys who've done this type of performance mod would bring their rides to an independent shop first rather then a dealership. alphalanos 08-31-2007, 11:24 PM Auto hondas and turbos dont mix. Just do the trans swap its like $1,000 or even less. Then slap on a t25 @ 8psi and have 150hp 240slider 06-23-2008, 11:41 AM your right I probably go that way .with the swap and see what comes of it thanks darkenddream 02-06-2009, 02:40 PM lol i love dat vedeo i had a friend with a turbo civic 93 coupe automatic . he really buggied on that car lol and he even let go of the pedal so to make it look like he shifted LOL but his car is running really well and he did beat a lot of manual cars. yea a turbo can mess up the tranny it all depends how much u abuse it u know thats pretty much it. but that car is running good vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
