Underrated SR20DE for the SilviaMorpheus XIII 09-19-2001, 05:58 AM With full-fledged focus for the SR20DET, the naturally aspirated version never seems to get enough attention. Perhaps this factory option setup can alter a few minds. No doubt the turbocharged powerplant is what wet dreams are made of, but the SR20DE is still a very capable motor. turbonetrix 09-21-2001, 04:43 PM You got that right its a great all-around motor redvalkrie 09-21-2001, 06:24 PM I have deep feelings for the SR20DE, but what I plan to do is buy the SR20DET mod it out then pick a car to put it in! 2000G20t 240sx or what ever else it fits in? ( that looks good & has class) Morpheus XIII 09-22-2001, 08:24 AM All Nissans have class, but some of them have a hard time 'looking good' (as said by many). Maybe this is why they have the highly engineered products to fill in the gap left by nonexistant skin-deep appeal. If it was up to me, I would get the (subjective) ugliest Nissan to fit in the SR20DET to show that flashy looks don't get you very far (literally). dieselpower 10-01-2001, 05:37 PM UM did you know the photo you displayed is for the S15 AUTEC Version motor ???? and this is only Special order and this cost as much as an entry model SR20DET. AUTEC only made like 300~500 version of those ??? Morpheus XIII 10-02-2001, 02:02 AM Of course, I was well aware. Anyone who visits Nissan's japanese corporate website will know that this is from there. I just wanted a nice visual representation for the SR20DE, in any trim or form. dieselpower 10-02-2001, 12:27 PM OOOOOOOOOOOH ok nice Idea VQuick 10-27-2001, 09:30 PM Is that its a good NA motor too, like the VQ-series V6. There are full-race versions of the SR20DE used in the BTCC that produce upwards of 300hp. There is also a race version of the VQ30DE that produces 410hp. If you're looking for good NA parts(at least for the SR), check out Europe. Morpheus XIII 10-31-2001, 05:50 PM Gotta hand it to the teams in Europe. And among them, the n/a 300hp SRs really hit the spot in the Primeras. redvalkrie 10-31-2001, 05:58 PM I gave a call to SR20Development. BB SR20DET.......... $1,500 just for the engine! GTi-R SR20DET...... $2,500 just for the engine! And add on about $1,000 for install & custome piping. Another $1,000 for gauges AFC, boost controllers & some other nice trick components! Does this sound good to you guy's! I want the GTi-R engine cause of more horsepower & I understand that my stock tranny won't take the abouse over 250hps I do plan on purchasing a new tranny after I get the engine in & feel comfratable with it & recouperate from the money situation after installing the GTi-R engine.:D Thank you in advance for your help!;) quangn88 12-27-2003, 11:32 PM Hey wuz up Everyone... I wanted to ask a noob question I guess. But the SR20DE motor that is found on most U.S. vehicles. Will that motor be able to be swapped in a 240SX and made into a rear wheel drive? If so how hard is it to convert it from its front wheel drive state to the 240's rear wheel drive setup. I am working on this project to make my 240SX street legal, than later give it a turbo package to complete the setup. Any advice will help me a lot.
