i dont have a clue what it could be i havent checked over it yet. just wanted to know what you guys thought it might be. i was taking my friend home the other night and stopped at a stop sign and it hesitated a little and then went fine until i got on the highway goin about 50 then it started to jerk if i pushed the gas. so i pulled over and the gauges said it had low oil pressure and they read pretty cool it was also idleing pretty rough so i shut it off and went to start it again and it started and then died out seconds after it started. so my lumina is out in the country and we are going to go see if we can figure it out tommorow. any help would be appreciated

Welcome to AF. Check fuel pressure first, it sounds like your fuel pump went out on you. If you have ample fuel pressure (41-44 psi key on/engine off), then check to see if you're getting spark when it dies.
